TNTSat stopped working

Hello,
sorry but my written french is very bad, so if it's not a problem i'm writing you in English. I understand french very well, so you can answer me in your language.

On Christmas, i bought to my mother this decoder "TECHNISAT Technibox HD VA 2 + Carte TNTSAT sur ASTRA 19.2" so she can enjoy french television. I am able to receive Astra 19° and Hotbird 13°.

Untill june we hadn't problem, but few weeks ago, when we turned on decoder we always had message "traspondeur domestiques non trouves: recherche complete en cours". I left it search for a couple of hours but most of french channels stopped working writing "Cette chaine n'est pas accessible dans votre installation. veuillez contacter votre installateur".

After trying another decoder to be sure that both astra and hotbird are working, i did a factory reset on my technisat and left it search for hours, situation got better: all channels were working.

From this week, i'm still facing problems. Now, most of channels aren't working: France3, Canal+ hd, tmc, nrj12,iTele,d17,cherie 25, canal + cinema hd, tv5 monde europe, tv5 monde fbs. When i turn on decoder, i don't get any message or warning.

I did again factory reset, recherche tntsat collectif,recherche tntsat - individuel but these channels aren't available.

Some infos:

• If i go into menu, information carte i have: information appari....L'appairage n'est pas installé sur ce terminal. (Honestly i don't remember value i had before and i don't know what it is)
• Menu, informations carte, consultation des droits: Classes 0 Date de debut: 2014-12-21, expiration 2018-12-20.
• Both astra and hotbird signals are strong.
• Menu, recherche des chaines, traspondeur domestique: principal: [11856, vertical, 27500,3/4], secondaire: [12402,vertical,27500,3/4]. Are these parameters correct? i never changed it.
• selection de chaines regionales: France 3 (national)

When i was trying "recherche tntsat - individuel", i aborted it and i get message "recherche 10700mhz... traspondeur domestiques non trouves: recherche complete en cours"
I left it work but channel still are not available.

Another thing that i find strange is that with this decoder i get only french channels, for example if i search others channels (italians, germans,..) nothing.. My channel list is made only by 64 french channels. I was looking if maybe there was another TMC (for example), but i have only one.

Someone can please help me to get back TNTSat channels? Maybe something changed in tntsat system? are my home trasponders settings correct? Someone knows why i can see only french channels on this decoder?

Votre installation est individuelle ? (si oui) faites la recherche "tntsat individuel" et verifier les OL (local Oscillator) qui doit etre : OL bas (low) 9750
OL haut (high) 10600


Je crois que votre recherche se fait actuellement avec OL bas 9750, OL Haut 10700 (bad value)
ce qui empeche l'appareil de trouver les transpondeurs de référence ainsi que le réseau

A propos des paramètres de OL, je cherché partout où je peux le modifier, mais je pense que 10 700 est enregistré dans le firmware et je ne peux pas le changer.

La différence entre collectif ou individuel, c'est qu'en collectif vous utilisez une parabole commune à l'immeuble (par exemple)
en individuel vous utilisez votre propre parabole sur votre maison (par exemple)


Je ne connais pas assez le technisat (je vais verifier si je n'en ai pas un quelque part)
pour le moment : je vous conseille de faire une restauration par défaut page 47 du manuel...
en mettant la plus simple configuaration : un seul satellite ASTRA 19.2 et laisser faire la recherche automatique des chaines Tntsat
le fait de vouloir avoir d'autres chaines en clair sur le satellite (ou un autre) sera à voir plus tard
et dites nous le résultat

Les chaines TNTSAT ont changé de transpondeur sur ASTRA 19° Est, en Juin, les Allemandes, Autrichiennes n' ont pas bougé. Canal+ a effectué tout un "remue ménage" en vue du passage au tout MPEG 4 HD/SD en AVRIL 2016.

TNTSAT channels moved to news transponders on ASTRA 19° Est, during June. Canal+ make a important modification on his channels, ready for MPEG 4 HD/SD only in April 2016. Germans, and Austrians Channels never changed. If your STB is not updated, TNTSAT' s frequencies are ot the sames.

We turned cables on the lbn, so now i did a factory reset and i configured
Astra 19.2 on position #1. After scan i have same problem like before, but now, for example,
on TMC i have same message "Cette chaine n'est pas accessible dans votre installation.
veuillez contacter votre installateur" BUT now, on lower panel, i see the name of the current trasmission (eg. TMC Meteo)

Nous avons tourné câbles sur la LBN, alors maintenant je ne réinitialiser une usine et i configuré
Astra 19.2 sur la position # 1. Après analyse i ai même problème comme avant, mais maintenant, par exemple,

Perfect, but i can't find how to update my decoder. I can't find it in menu, and on the web i can't find firmware how-to
upgrade for my decoder. Neither on technisat website. (I find TechniBox HD VAC but it's not the same..)
Do i have only to leave it turned on and he will do a silent upgrade?
Because when i turn it on, i see that it searches something, but then it goes on normal without any message.
Now i try leave it turned on for all night and tomorrow i will see.
Then, i will leave it turned on also on Mondays and Tuesdays over odd weeks.

Now i just have an idea... maybe i must search all Astra channels, then search a channel used for firmware upgrades and leave it for a moment.. Am i wrong?

Yes, my parabole is well configured because i can see all Astra channels (now I found how to scan all channels, and not only TNTSAT). I tried also with a normal decoder (no TNTSAT) and Astra is working well.

matousurnet and BAISIN found the root of my problem: my decoder isn't updated or it doesn't take updates from TNTSAT, so now I'm working to find how to do it. I cross fingers for tomorrow and after tomorrow to see if it updates (odd week updates).

Oui, mon parabole est bien configuré parce que je peux voir tous les canaux de Astra (maintenant je trouvé comment voir tous les canaux, et pas seulement TNTSAT). Je ai essayé aussi avec un autre décodeur pas TNTSAT) et Astra fonctionne bien.

matousurnet et Baisin ont trouvé mon problème: mon décodeur est pas mis à jour ou il ne prend pas les mises à jour de TNTSAT, alors maintenant je travaille pour trouver comment le faire. J'espère que demain ou après-demain il obtiendra la mise à jour (semaine impaire)

I tried to connect decoder to my LAN but still nothing... I can't understand... I already have the firmware version 1.30.

And also, they write it's enough to restart my decoder and it will see new firmware or news from TNTSAT. Why did it never update frequencies from december ? Almost everyweek we turn it on... but i'm not sure my mother uses it on monday and tuesday...

Et aussi, ils écrivent il suffit de redémarrer mon décodeur et il va voir le nouveau firmware ou nouvelles de TNTSAT. Pourquoi at-il jamais de mettre à jour des fréquences de décembre? Do you suggest me to do a factory reset or search all others astra channels?

Suggérez-vous que je fasse une réinitialisation ou recherchez tous les autres canaux de Astra?

TNTSAT receivers automatically search for channel and software updates at power-up and if your dish is correctly aimed at Astra1, it will store the new frequency plan.

- iTele HD
- Cherie 25
- France 3

The strange fact is that In the OSD i can read the current transmission, but on the screen i have always the same message to contact my antenna installer...

I did a complete Astra and Hotbird scan and i can't find these channels on other frequences

Voici la liste des chaînes manquantes:

Le fait étrange est que, dans l'OSD je peux lire la transmission de courant, mais sur la telé j'ai toujours le même message "Prendre contact avec antenne installateur ..."

Je l'ai fait une scan complète sur Astra et Hotbird et je ne peux pas trouver ces chaînes sur d'autres fréquences

The problem comes certainly from the fact that the signal quality is not good enough to enable video and sound decoding but sufficient to decode the programme information which is transmitted at low bit rate and repeated at regular interval.
This is probably because your antenna is either too small or not optimally adjusted (or both).

The reason why the problem appeared recently is because Canalsat/TNTSAT increased the FEC rate of the DVB-S2 channels to increase their capacity, but the consequence is a reduction of the robustness so the antenna adjustment is more critical than before.

Hm, that's a good tip thanks, but, for example, in the image attached there is the signal level of TV5 Monde FBS and it's very strong, but I can't see it (always same message to contact my installer....)


Hm , par exemple , dans l'image jointe il ya le niveau de TV5 Monde FBS de signal et il est très fort, mais je ne peux pas le voir (toujours même message à communiquer avec mon installateur .... )

Cela fonctionne, avez vous essayé avec un récepteur dont vous êtes sûr ?

If you receive Hotbird, it means that you have either a monoblock LNB or two LNBs and a DiSEqC switch.
Most TNTSAT receivers only work correctly if Astra is in DiSEqC position 1, (which is not the case with most monoblocks).
If Astra is not in position 1, automatic channel list and software updates can be missed because the receiver is looking for these updates on DiSEqC position 1, even if Astra has been configured on position 2 at initial setup.
This is a bug common to many TNTSAT receivers.
